13 July 2019 Current Affairs:1. Government of West Bengal observed on 12th July as " Save water Day".
On 12 July 2019, West Bengal government celebrated Save Water Day across the state to spread the awareness of water conservation. From now onwards it will be celebrated in the state each year to create awareness among people to control misuse of water.
On occasion of day Chief Minister addressed people to-
  • Save water and save a life.
  • Come and join  such a social program
  • Take measures to save natural resource as water scarcity has turned into a major issue in the world.


13 July 2019 Current Affairs:2. Ansula Kant became the Managing Director of World Bank.

Anshula Kant, SBI Managing Director, has been assigned as the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of the World Bank. Anshula Kant will be acting for the World Bank’s financial and risk management. The announcement was mentioned by World Bank President David Malpass on July 12, 2019. 
About Ansula Kant

Anshula Kant is a graduate in Economic Honours from Lady Shri Ram College for Women and a Post-Graduate in Economics from Delhi School of Economics.
Anshula Kant took part SBI way back in 1983 as a Probationary Officer. Since then, she has left several key positions including Chief General Manager (CGM) of Mumbai Circle (Maharashtra & Goa) and CEO at SBI Singapore where she was responsible for introducing the retail operations, making SBI the first Indian bank to do so in that region. 
13 July 2019 Current Affairs:3. The popular game PUBG has been banned bt the Gordon Government.
PUBG is connected with violent behavior and low academic grades of students. Some academic institutions have demanded a direct correlation between the violent game, like PUBG, and the mental health of the child.
Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) of Jordan said that it has got a "many comments and complaints from a large number of citizens and some respective authorities about the negative impact of the game."

13 July 2019 Current Affairs:5. Tamil Nadu is going to build an electric car with the help of Hyundai as the first state of India.
Korean automobile giant Hyundai's plans for its Chennai facility will promote to make Tamil Nadu the first state in India to manufacture electric cars spoke the state government on Thursday.

M C Sampath, minister for industries, mentioned the state plans to attract companies that are moving out of China after that country's trade dispute with the United States.

6. Film Division has released a documentary film name " KSHITIJ".
Film Divisions will release KSHITIJ, a documentary film club in Mumbai today. An acclaimed documentary film “Secret Life of Frogs” by Ajay and Vijay Bedi will be focussed as the inaugural film. 

Public screenings will start at 5:30 PM on the second and fourth Friday of every month. The screenings will have come off at Films Division Complex. 

The initiative, being decided in association with Indian Documentary Producer’s Association, will provide movie lovers, an opportunity to watch acclaimed documentary films and also to interact with the film’s director. 

13 July 2019 Current Affairs:7. Flipkart has launched Credit Card in collaboration with Axis Bank & Mastercard.
Flipkart is launching in on the co-branded credit card game with the launch of its first credit card in partnership with Axis Bank and Mastercard. This is the first co-branded card for the e-retailer, Flipkart had earlier partnered with Axis Bank back in 2016 for the launch of the Axis Bank Buzz credit card, which facilitates 5 percent discount on Flipkart purchases and other benefits. The Flipkart-Axis Bank Credit Card will be provided to particular users in July and it will expand to all over the coming weeks.

The ‘Performance Grading Index 2017-18’Chandigarh is best among all the states.

Chandigarh ranked best in the field of education and is followed by Kerala and Gujarat.
Arunachal Pradesh is the worst performing state 
It ranked 36th position
The states are Haryana (4), Tamil Nadu (5), Punjab (7), Rajasthan (8) and, Delhi (9)the lowest are Meghalaya (34), Nagaland (35) and Arunachal Pradesh (36).
 Kerala is the state with highest literacy rate followed by Lakshadweep and Mizoram.

There was a literacy rate of 18% at present
Union Minister Prakash Javadekar inferred to train on their knowledge to their parents, grandparents, and others in the family who have been deprived of it.
